WV.TRIP was created to spatially enable the West Virginia Department of
Transportation's data by combining spatial information with new and existing data from
multiple agencies within the WV. This geospatial portal will capitalize on
existing investments already made with respect to inventorying road data
throughout the State and add
value by integrating multiple datasets (crash
data, road inventory logs, speed limits, surface type, and aerial photography,
etc) together to help solve problems and support decision-making throughout the
Department.
Please explore the site to view web-based mapping, reports, download data, learn
more about us, and see what's new. The WV.TRIP project was made available by a partnership between the Nick J.
Rahall, II Appalachian Transportation Institute and the West Virginia
Department of Transportation. This project was funded in part by through the TEDIS program of the the Nick J.
Rahall, II Appalachian Transportation Institute and the West Virginia Department
of Transportation GIS Section. It is part of a joint effort to
spatially enable the Department of Transportation.
Please contact the GIS Section at (304)-558-7434, if you have any questions about
